 Miracle Dogs of the Missouri is the almost-true story of Merriwether Lewis, the great leader of America’s expedition along the Missouri River to the Pacific Ocean. When Lewis was just a boy he learned the ways of the river – with the help of a spunky Newfoundland – and believed he could use the river to travel distances farther than any other man. And he did. Together with his co-captain, William Clark, Lewis traveled 3254 miles from St. Louis, Missouri to Fort Clatsop, in modern day Oregon.
